| David Bome |
David is a born and bred Chelmsfordian. Coming from such a musical family he has always been involved with music, learning the flute and piano at an early age. Many happy years of music making were made possible during his time in KEGS Orchestra, under the direction of Peter Cross. David was also a viola player in the Essex Youth Orchestra which regularly toured abroad. He studied for an education degree at Kingston University, where he was also a member of the orchestra and chamber choir. Whilst working at Chelmsford Cathedral School David was heavily involved in local music, both in the school and in the Cathedral, and as chairman of the Schools Music Association. As a founding member of Caprice, and its predecessor the Wood B Band, his life, like many others, has been dominated by the Orchestra which he fits around his day job as Headteacher of Copford C of E Primary School. David considers it a great priviledge to be part of such an organisation as Caprice and with the musical experience he has gained over many years, very proudly took over the baton from his mother, Joy, in October 2006. |
